Beautifully Safe (CLOSED)
If you’re on the lookout for an eating spot in Toronto that is free of the top 8 allergens AND makes you feel like you’re Alice in Wonderland (because — let’s face it — who doesn’t?), look no further than Sorelle and Co.
Walking inside you’ll be greeted by a gorgeous interior and lovely selection of sweet (and savoury, depending on the location) treats that are free of dairy, egg, nuts sesame, soy, wheat and preservatives too!
Sorelle and Co. first opened its flagship location in Vaughan in 2016 — and has expanded to open 3 more locations across the GTA in only 2 short years. Their most recent location opened in Etobicoke just this month.
You can also find their downtown location in Pusateri’s upscale food court, and another gorgeous spot in Toronto’s iconic Yorkville.
While Sorelle and Co. does not share ingredient lists with patrons, their knowledgeable servers will happily check the ingredients of an item in question if you have an allergy that isn’t in the top 8. Be prepared for brutal honesty: If they use chickpea flour to make their muffins, they aren’t going to guarantee ZERO risk of cross contamination.
You’ve been forewarned, so don’t be too disappointed if this happens to be the case! The way I see it, we should be grateful that they take our allergies seriously enough not to make any false promises about our safety. (And this is coming from the mama of a child with an allergy to sunflower — an ingredient used in many of their baked goods.)
